Winter Grazing

Painted in Oils on board.

Size 8 x 10 inches

£145.00

The first time I saw this scene, I thought it would make an interesting painting. Each day I visited I walked across to the side of the field and made a few mental notes. Then one day the mist was hanging low in the valley bottom.  Colours were muted with Greys and Mauves, now I knew instead of painting high mountain peaks bathing in sunshine, the time was right for my Winter Horses quietly grazing.

I love the Chamonix skyline and have painted the Dru, Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses but not the mighty ‘Grepon’.

I painted this from a sketch I did on Wednesday we parked the van and this was the view above.

With bright sunshine lighting the colourful Ochres in the rock face it certainly made a stunning view to appreciate.

Bicycle Basket

Bicycle basket

‘Bicycle basket’ captured with watercolours by Jane Ward.

Size 10 x 14 inches

For Sale

Walking through the pretty French village of Samoens this old and tired bicycle often would catch my eye.

A basket full of Geraniums overflowing with pink flowers.

This old bicycle could tell many a tale of journeys and rides along the high Alpine passes or maybe just back and forth from with a basket for full of fruit and vegetables.
