Jane Ward is a Landscape Artist working in Watercolours, Pastels and Oils. Enjoying walking amongst inspiring high fell and mountain scenery led Jane to paint what she really loved. Dramatic light conditions on Lakes, Mountain ridges and Tarns especially in a Winter Landscape.
Self taught Jane paints mainly in Watercolours, Oils and Pastels.An enthusiastic tutor and contributor to ‘Leisure Painter’ Magazine.
Moving to the Lake District Jane set up ‘Lakeland Art Courses’ sharing her special painting locations around Keswick and Grasmere with students from all over the world. A trip to Italy opened a new chapter, quite by accident discovering Lake Iseo ‘ the secret jewel of the Italian Lakes’ Jane now organises each year a painting holiday to her favourite place in Italy.
Having spent many years painting in the French Alps capturing some of the most dramatic and inspiring landscapes, Jane is delighted to organise painting holidays in Samoens named as one of the the most beautiful French Alpine towns.
