Jane Ward Landscape Artist

Thank you for visiting  my Gallery of paintings which include Originals and Prints I hope you enjoy taking a look, please send an email if you need any information on paintings or prints.

Landscape Artist working in Watercolours, Pastels and Oils. My inspiration comes from a love of walking amongst  high fell and mountain scenery, dramatic light conditions on Lakes, mountain ridges and especially high mountain peaks in a Winter Landscape.

Self taught, from an early age, I loved painting and drawing particularly  outdoors. I  paint mainly in Watercolours, Oils and Pastels. An enthusiastic tutor and contributor to ‘Leisure Painter’ Magazine.

Moving to the Lake District and starting ‘Lakeland Art Courses’ sharing my special painting locations around Keswick and Grasmere with students from all over the world. A trip to Italy opened a new chapter, quite by accident discovering Lake Iseo ‘ the secret jewel of the Italian Lakes’ and time spent in the French Alps brought new ideas and inspiration and opened my eyes to a wider palette of colours and painting subjects.
