Join Jane for a relaxing and inspiring  painting retreat in the heart of the Lake District. Suitable for all abilities, this immersive break combines en plein air painting with studio sessions, allowing you to develop your skills while enjoying the spectacular spring scenery of Grasmere and Rydal Water.
Working in watercolours, acrylics or soft pastels, you’ll receive expert guidance in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist, you’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace and explore your own creative style.
Based at’ The Glenthorne’ just five minutes walk from Grasmere centre, staying in a single ensuite room with full-board accommodation, giving you the freedom to focus on painting, learning and enjoying the company of fellow artists.

March is a wonderful time to visit Grasmere, with fresh spring colours, dramatic landscapes and the famous Wordsworth daffodils providing endless inspiration.

Commencing Monday at 1pm and finshing 2pm Thursday

Spend each day sketching and painting on location, with access to a fabulous studio whenever the weather is unsuitable. Locations are easily reached by gentle walks or local bus.

Twin or Double ensuite rooms are available with an extra supplement for single occupancy and Non painting partners are very welcome.
